In this movie, Solene ( Anne Hathaway), 40-year-old single mom, begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell ( Nicholas Galitzine) , the lead singer of August Moon , the hottest boy band on the planet.
First off, I went into this blindly and was pleasantly surprised.
In the opening scene we meet Solene, and then her daughter Izzy ( Ella Rubin) is getting ready to go to Coachella because her father Daniel ( Reid Scott) paid for the Vip treatment for her to meet the band August Moon. Last minute, Daniel retreats, because he has a business trip to go to. So, then Solene goes instead and takes Izzy and her friends.
Next while Solene is looking for a washroom to use and she inadvertently, steps into the trailer of August Moon , in order to use their washroom. That's where she meets Hayes Campbell. This sparks something between them both.
Now this is a pretty straightforward character and plot. Yes, there's chemistry between Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. Plus it's a straightforward romance movie, along with the beats are a tad predictable and it works.
The performances are good along with the directing. I do reccomend that you watch it!!
