Who better to play a woman receiving loads of unwarranted, arbitrarily conceived online hate than Anne Hathaway. That’s right, I don’t know why so many of ya’ll were hating on her, she’s lovely, and she’s lovely here.
This was just a warm a pleasant breath of fresh air recreating that nice, sweet predictability of an 80’s,90’s or 00’s rom-com. It went light on the comedy, but hit all the other tropes nicely. I’m not necessarily a huge romantic comedy guy, but that paint by numbers approach to a love story is refreshing when done this well and led in such a charming manner.
