I love watching this because you can see the mind of Miller working with very little as best he can - the symphony of engines harmonizing with the score, the palpable danger of the cast and crew, frame-rate changes and a far-eyed stare. The raw Id of the Mad Max franchise is so compelling.
It’s strange, too, that the main thrust of the plot is treated like a climax leading to the conclusion. In a modern film Max would have gone Mad at the 30 minute mark.
