Literally ten seconds into this and I’m already thrown off because the on-screen text says 2003 but the song they’re playing is The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani, which for the uninformed out there is in fact a 2006 song, I will not let them get away with this
I had more chemistry with the pizza I ate while watching this than anyone on the screen.
Your Place or Mine is just... "content". No passion, no energy, no stakes, no consequence, no jokes, no romance... no fun. This is BY FAR the most BORING movie I have EVER seen...
Reese Witherspoon travels cross-country from Los Angeles to New York for… a one-week accounting class? They don’t teach accounting in L.A.? No one offers online accounting classes in the universe where this movie takes place? Her babysitter bails so her best friend from New York who she has absolutely nothing in common with (Ashton Kutcher) agrees to fly out for the week and watch her son. But she has another close friend with kids (Tig Notaro), who always seems to be hanging around with nothing to do. Why didn’t she watch Reese’s son?
Everyone keeps calling Kutcher’s character “irresponsible” - but he is an extremely successful businessman with a thriving career and an amazing apartment. Feels like you have to be…
What deal with the devil did Ashton Kutcher make to still look this good? Seriously, he’s only gotten better looking, it’s insane. This one kinda felt like an early 2000’s romantic comedy. Nothing outstanding but still fun, light and watchable. Reese Witherspoon is always wonderful to see on screen. Also loved seeing Jessie Williams from Greys Anatomy. A bit forgettable but give me a movie with Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez or Jennifer Aniston and I’m down.
You know those awkward red carpet pictures of Ashton and Reese? Yup, that’s literally the whole movie
