from the languid sun baths of call me by your name to the still humidity of bones and all, guadagnino’s ability to place his films on my shoulders and coat me in their climate has struck again. challengers is a film with a pulse- all sweat bitter and heaving chests, the feeling of sore muscles and calloused hands. the sun threatens to burn you up but you’re enthralled court-side the entire time.
