Just as godawful as I'd heard, but at least I got some chuckles out of it. (And, "The best part of the future is it hasn't happened yet" is not the greatest line to end on.)

Classic story and a classic adaptation. Just two observations:
- Practical Pig using turpentine (DIP!!!) on a villain before Roger Rabbit.
- Building a piano out of brick can't be that practical, can it?

Wouldn't be much of a Marion Davies movie without her dressing up in drag... As for the film itself, it was fine. Holds up better than a lot of musicals from this transitional period.

The grandaddy of FX-driven blockbusters, with Fay Wray, cinema's original scream queen. The middle (and longest) section taking place on the island went on a little long for my tastes. But that's only a minor criticism as the film is massively entertaining otherwise.
