Planet of the Apes 2001
Sometime around 1997 I was leant a compilation CD by an older sibling called 100% Hits Vol.2 which had many photos of Mark Wahlberg shirtless in his hey day in the boy band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in the inside cover which I would look at whilst listening to Melissa Tkautz on the same compilation album singing “Sexy, Sexy is the Word”. And somehow I didn’t come out of the closet for another good decade.
Anyway, all of that to say that not even Mark Wahlberg couldn’t save this movie from being the absolute dumpster fire that it is. -
