    I'll never forget the first time I saw a Miyazaki film. It was on a couch surrounded by fellow undergrads at my then-girlfriend's apartment, notably called Chez Tits. She lived with four other girls, and they all had boyfriends.     I'm sick of defending Newsies, so this will be the last time:

    We live in an age where we criticize Disney for playing it safe. For giving us cliche fan service films. The most popular films nowadays (and, one could argue, always) are sequels, franchises, reboots, and adaptations. We pretend to champion originality but the truth is—we vote with our dollar at the box office and not with our mouths or internet rants.
