Skipping the Fellini Festival to smoke atomic weed and have sex is a fantastic metaphor for my taste in film.

I watched the "pre-release" version which is the longer version but not the director's cut. Didn't know until I was halfway through that there were multiple versions. The pre-release version has some extra scenes and instead of narration from Walter Brennan the film crossfades optical pages from a book. If I had known the criterion released shorter version was Hawks' preferred version I would've watched that but I didn't mind any of the unique elements of the pre-release version. I…

Watched a director's cut that I believe was the 2000 restoration.
Still a masterpiece. Literally every scene is perfection.

Freddy vs. Jason is a film that caters to all my personal horror needs. One is a critically disliked masterpiece and one is a critically disliked movie that is just a very good action-horror hybrid.

"I'd done too much to turn back, and I'd done too much to go on."
A brutal coming-of-age film. An anti-Lady Bird in its realistic violence and tragic finale. Easily mistakable as a glorification of the lifestyle with its convertible Mustangs and flashy gold rims, but are the cars worth dying over?
The ending truly brought me close to tears, maybe even more so than Boyz N the Hood, an untouchable masterpiece.
