This was so heartbreakingly good. It just felt so real, the awkwardness of the first meet, the pillow talk, the opening scene... It was also so beautifully filmed. My empathy was equally split between the three characters which I feel is something pretty rare, I usually would pick a side or relate more to one. But there was no side to pick here just choices to live with.

I started the movie only knowing that it was a cowboy movie with a twink and a homophobic daddy. I unconsciously then had preconceived ideas on what the storyline was going to be. Well Thomas Savage and Jane Campion definitely gooped and gagged me I was not expecting this! Definitely going to stick with me. Plus I found it absolutely gorgeous with brilliant acting.
