i missed seeing regina king back on screen and her performance here reminded me exactly why... also shirley chisholm's story is one that needs to live on forever. she was the true personification of resilience.
A fantastic biographical film depicting an inspiring woman portrayed by the equally remarkable and charming Regina King. While it occasionally falls into traditional American biopic tropes, this is inconsequential due to it overall being excellent. Regina King delivers a stellar performance worthy of applause. We definitely need more figures like Shirley Chisholm in today's world.
An extra half a star because it was so nice to see Lucas Hedges too.
Disney knocked it out of the park with this one. I recommend everyone watch this when it comes out on Disney+.
The best thing I have seen Disney put their name on in a long time
Great acting, music, editing and even some cool camera work

Many movies allow you to escape humanity. This movie forces you to face every part of humanity. Prepare to feel every possible emotion.
What a powerful way to start off my Sundance week.
Rob Peace beautifully weaves a narrative that explores the intersection of systemic flaws, unwavering community loyalty, and an individual's profound passion for science. Jay Will and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s father-son connection drives this film, while Camila Cabello delivers her best work yet. The film is a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience within the complexities of justice and personal pursuits.
Totally wild and heart breaking story directed with so much confidence
I’m really interested in the almost double life he had especially shelving away his home troubles when he was at school bc that’s SO real
Mary J made me cry as she should
How come no one told me how sad Sundance movies are!
