An audio stream discussing what the film bros are watching these days

Stories

Klaus (2019) [S2E44]

We've been exiled to a small Arctic island this week and can't record a new episode! Luckily, you can still listen to our discussion from season two on the modern Christmas classic: Klaus!

Best in Show (2000) [S5E34]

With the National Dog Show (and Thanksgiving) right around the corner, we wanted to review one of our favorite comedies involving canines and their caretakers. Join us as we judge Christopher Guest's mockumentary for the ages: Best in Show!

Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) [S2E9]

Since we've been driven underground by a rather unpleasant trio of farmers this week, we couldn't make it into the studio to record. Lucky for you, you can revisit our episode from season two where we discuss a rather charismatic fox!

The social periphery endangers the importance of the center by offering an alternative to their sad same-old, so conservative traditionalism rebrands misfits as monsters.

Director's Cut

Just totally, utterly, unabashedly irresponsible movie-making by an egoistical madman; a deep sea epic in hangout mode, soaked in Spielbergian sentiment but hardwired through the frazzled jargon of James Cameron. If someone says the guy isn't a humanist, plop that imbecile down 'Clockwork Orange' style and show them The Abyss. Each moment thrives and dances within barriers between safety and death, and masculine exteriors break away into protraits of vulnerability and love. So touching, so dreamy and…

It ain't Christmas without this for me

A little scattered in terms of dramatic and comedic success, but manages to form a rather sweet whole. A nostalgic enough watch to be a great Christmas kickoff.
