Nine early short films by and with Charlie Chaplin from the years 1915 to 1917 are now available from our streaming colleagues at AVA.

From the beginning of April to the end of July, we offer six workshops in which participants develop a short movie.

To celebrate International Women's Day, our streaming colleagues from AVA present a collection of six silent short movies by Alice Guy-Blaché, the first female filmmaker.

Starting March 7th, on the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m., we will screen a surprise film from the Cinemathek's collection that deals with water - one of this year's key themes at the ZLB.

On December 21th, the International Short Film Day, we present two rarely screened Japanese 8mm punk films!

From the beginning of October to the beginning of December, we offer five workshops on writing and filming, in which we collectively develop a mini-series with several short episodes.

Along with the current theme room at the Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek and our selection of physical media on the subject, our streaming colleagues at AVA Library are offering a collection of 10 documentaries about social movements from around the world. 

From From July 10th to September 10th and in cooperation with our colleagues from the music department, we present a selection of film soundtracks on Vinyl alongside the matching Blu-rays and DVDs.
