It’s not just a great film, it’s unlike any other film I’ve seen. At times it feels like a sharply observant play, at time it has an almost novelistic scope, but it always looks cinematic and has moments of great beauty and awfulness. I laughed a lot but felt emotionally wrecked at the end.

John Early’s performance is so funny that very few people seem to mention how weighted it is with sadness. Hammel’s movie gets so much universality out of its specificity. She’s a major new talent.

I was the boom op and this is the best crew out there, I loved everyone that worked on this movie and I’m so happy to see it done. I will never forget that month in that dusty brownstone. Please go and see this you will have fun!

Gonna be thinking about this one for a while. Genuinely refreshing to see queer/trans people who are pieces of shit. Also one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a while. Always sunny but everyone is gay.
