The Florida Project 2017
I never thought I could be so mesmerized simply watching people exist. I haven’t decided how I feel about the final sequence (minus a bit for that and that it slowed down a bit for me in the middle), but Sean Baker created such a beautiful and tragic window into these peoples lives and I will never ever forget it. Extraction 2020
Extraction is lacking in a lot of areas but i applaud it for knowing what kind of movie it is. It honestly did better in terms of character development and emotional payoff than I thought it would. I’m giving it 3.5 stars because I know how passionate Chris Hemsworth/Sam Hargrave were about it and the action was badass. Also Randeep Hooda. I’d definitely watch a sequel.

3:10 to Yuma 2007
Those who nitpick at how realistic the action sequences are in this movie have valid concerns, but seem to be missing the point. 3:10 to Yuma is not a perfect film but it more than makes up for its flaws with unforgettable dialogue, gripping chemistry between Bale and Crowe, and a thought provoking escapade. Was it all really worth it to bring one man to justice? Do we keep fighting for what’s right when we don’t think we can win?…
