Do the Right Thing 1989
Truly a pleasure to sing the praises of Do The Right Thing and talk briefly about a timeless tale of prejudice and pain in our latest article at Loud and Clear.
It’s impossible to have all the answers at a moment like this, but through art, we can come to a deeper understanding of experiences outside our immediate environment, and we can begin a conscious effort to change our actions for the better.
Very proud to be a part of this piece.

Do the Right Thing 1989
“Left-Hand Hate KOed by Love.”
Painfully prescient and instantly iconic. Spike’s magnum opus.
Please consider taking the time out of your day to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to support those protesting the murder of George Floyd. Anything helps.

Lawrence of Arabia 1962
I know, I know.
This rating is probably sacrilegious.

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 1964
Sadly found this to be the least accessible of any of Kubrick’s works that I’ve watched thus far, but willing to admit that this is likely due to my lack of familiarity with the historical context, as well as having a fair bit of the humor fly over my head.
Certainly still splendidly shot (though much less visually striking than 2001 or A Clockwork Orange) and excellently acted, but overall, this is likely one I appreciate more than outright adore.
