Tangled 2010
Pretty much a perfect movie ?
I wanted to be Rapunzel so bad as a kid and I have finally fulfilled that goal as a bad bitch with long blonde hair
When they make this live-action remake I demand to be consulted bc this is the most personally invested I’d ever be in one of these so you better be listening Bob Iger 🫵🏻👂🏻
(Also Flynn Rider unfortunately influenced my type since childhood and I’m only just now realizing that)

The Little Mermaid 2023
The Little Mermaid is a live-action remake that retains the heart and soul of the story we know and love, and it’s elevated even further by a note-perfect star-making performance from Halle Bailey - she was born to be on the big screen, and she’s why this new take is worth watching.
Bailey’s chemistry with Jonah Hauer-King is so infectious and natural and a huge highpoint for the film, while Melissa McCarthy devours every second of her screen time. The…

Strange World 2022
😬
Despite a strong start and a cool concept, Strange World fumbles the bag after its first act and never digs deeper into its characters or themes beyond the surface level. The dialogue is dry, the plot is plain, and the overall journey is kinda joyless. Nice to look at though, I guess? (And I hate that such authentic LGBTQ+ representation isn’t in a better film.)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a super-stuffed sequel (emphasis on the super) that’s definitely a little too long, but it’s a miracle to see a Marvel movie this well directed and shot (God bless Ryan Coogler and Autumn Durald Arkapaw), and when it hones in on its central themes about how consuming and corruptive grief can be, it does transcend and cut through all that cinematic universe noise. Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, and Tenoch Huerta are the standouts of an…

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law 2022
Can totally see why some wouldn’t like this, but I had a ton of fun :)
Tatiana Maslany can do no wrong, Charlie Cox is incredibly attractive, and even though the episodes vary in entertainment value from time-to-time, there’s enough hits (the pilot, Madisynn’s Moment™️, and the final two for SURE) to make it all worthwhile. And, at the end of the day, if this was what it took to get Maslany’s Jennifer Walters on the board as a major player in the MCU, I’m all for it. Let her lead the Avengers, honestly.

Werewolf by Night 2022
MORE MARVEL LIKE THIS, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
The whole time I was watching this, I just kept thinking of that Tyler, The Creator tweet “Un-Follow Me Now, This Is Gonna Be the Only Thing I Tweet About For The Next Week. Ive Wanted This For Years Fuck. What The Fuck.” because why isn’t EVERY Marvel project made with this much style and spunk??? I’m a horror nut, so I knew I was gonna eat this up from the teaser…
