I have waited three years for this. 858 days, 858 long days I have waited. Life has taken me to many places between the release of part one and two. My expectations were in another universe. DUNE: PART TWO reached those expectations. Science fiction is my favorite genre, and this might genuinely be the best piece of art ever associated with the genre.

Watching this in IMAX was an experience I will never forget, Every scene is beautifully made, and…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

At first, I felt a resolute and unyielding disgust towards that ending, feeling that I had just wasted over five hours of my life and witnessed the biggest piece of character assasination in cinema history. I’ve had some time to digest it now, and I’m kind of fine with it.

LvT I still hate you for that though

HALLELUJAH. It feels like ages since a film had my heart racing like it did during that final scene in CHALLENGERS.

    This is what I mean.
    This is cinema.
This is why we go to the movies.
    This is that.
    Thank god for cinema.
    Thank god.

Alright Jake Gyllenhaal you’ve had your fun now, go back to serious roles again please

I actually kind of liked the first half but as soon as McGregor stepped foot on screen, shit went downhill really fast. Plus, the iPhone/video game type cinematography got tiring really quick. It escapes me why Jake Gyllenhaal decides to waste his extreme talent on this.

Today, I introduced my girlfriend to the indescribably genius masterpiece that is MAGNOLIA. Prior to this, we had a heated debate about her not wanting to watch films older than herself or those with a runtime exceeding two hours. I simply could not understand, yet she refused to back down. But after three hours of pure cinematic magic, she’s sitting there, quiet as a mouse, refusing to talk to me, realizing that she (obviously) was incorrect and acknowledging the need to apologize.
    Today was a good day

And since the fuck when is a film from 25 years ago regarded as ”old”????
