I would have called it "a children's film" but I am one of those who dare to think that even kids deserve better. Garfield is lazy filmmaking at its worst. The film lacks as many ideas as it does a concept... Its "plot" is uninspired, the animation is dull (but probably was fire back then). I don't know anything about the comics, but maybe not everything needs to be adapted...?

A coming-of-age story about puberty and gender identity in the heat of a sweltering summer. The film is quite banal, a bit too generic, but stands out thanks to an original character (Mario) and a slow but intriguing story - everything seemed real, too real, especially the interactions between sisters and the budding friendship of the two protagonists. But it really felt too undeveloped. I would've appreciatd a bit more focus on Argentinian landscapes as well.

A little gem of a children's film that I've been wanting to see ever since it was announced back in 2019. If is beautiful, touching and seduced me as much with its storytelling than it did with its CGI. The movie tells a lovely story that cannot leave anyone indifferent by tackling mature themes with a delicacy that can affect a kid as much as an adult.

John Krasinski didn't reinvent the wheel. The screenplay is nothing we've never seen…

"I'm taking such good care of my little white boys."

It's the fourth Guadagnino's project I've watched, and I have to admit that I'm still blown away by the things he has to offer. Nothing he does is the same. If someone ever told me that the director of this film is the same as that of Call Me by Your Name and Bones and All, I wouldn't believe it.

The guy just never misses, whether it's storytelling or pacing…
