Turtles All the Way Down

Turtles All the Way Down ★★★

john green's books and their adaptations beautifully and emotionally manage to depict the lives of teenagers perfectly and realistically. the movies show us sides of teens we don't see often in most coming-of age movies, where the kids don't seem to be struggling with anything at all and are living flawless lives. well guess what, you wont find that in anything written by him. turtles all the way down explores mental health, friendship and the complexities of growing up. the movie's main character, aza holmes, struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder as she's trying to navigate love and life. aza's best friend, daisy, thoroughly supports her while aza is grappling with her own inner demons. the performances were great in this film, as well as the cinematography and soundtrack.
